Travel and Pixels

Hello! I'm Stuart Chard
As a kid, I’d play with my dad’s old Bakelite Kodak, pretending to take pictures long before I ever loaded a roll of film. By my teenage years, that pretend camera was replaced with the real thing—a Russian-made Zorki 4K, my first SLR. That’s when the obsession truly began.
Photography, for me, isn’t about the big, flashy moments. It’s about the quiet ones—the way light slants through a market stall, the fleeting glance of a stranger, the tiny, unscripted stories unfolding everywhere. Those are the things worth capturing before they slip away.
These days, I split my time between travelling and my second home in Turkey, where life moves to its own rhythm. Whether it’s the shifting colours of the coastline, the hum of a bustling bazaar, or the dance of tourists and locals sharing the same streets, there’s always something to frame. And while digital is my main format, I still shoot film, developing it at home—because some things are worth slowing down for.
So that's me - I’m just a guy with a camera, pointing it at the world. The rest? Well, follow me on my social networks and my blog here for more stories and adventures.
